You don’t need your own website to create a splash page with these free splash page creators.
Although the easy option when promoting a new program is to use ready-made advertising material provided by the program creators, this throws up one big problem. The pre-designed splash pages provided by many online earning programs may look professional, but if a thousand other people are all pushing exactly the same page, it doesn’t matter how well designed it is, your splash page is quite simply not going to stand out from the crowd.
When it comes to advertising through the Traffic Exchanges, it is hard work at the best of times to hook just one or two people into signing up for your opportunity. But if you use your own splash page you stand a much better chance of seeing results.
Free splash page makers
The good news is there are several free programs you can join which enable you to build your own splash page even if you do not have a website or any knowledge of web design or HTML.
Easy Hits 4 U is a popular and very well respected Traffic Exchange offering its members many unique features. One of these features is their Easy Splash Builder tool. As a free member you are able to save up to 3 different splash pages and it is as easy as pie to put together a very simple yet effective splash page.
You will first need to join Easy Hits 4 U (it is totally free to become a member). After logging into the members area, you simply click on the Easy Splash Builder link and you will be presented with a blank canvas like the one below:
From there you simply experiment by changing the background colour, keying in and editing your text and adding pictures and your affiliate links like you would in a Word document. You can preview your splash page at any time and edit it as you see fit before adding it. Once you are happy with it, you will be given a URL to use for all of your marketing purposes.
To get some inspiration, EH4U publishes a list of their top 10 most effective splash pages for your to have a look at.
Another free splash page maker is provided by the Click Voyager traffic exchange. As with Easy Hits 4 U, you will need to become a member of the site for free, then once logged in navigate to the page entitled “Splash Pages”.
Once you have reached this page you will be required to input your chosen color scheme, text, hyperlinks and images into a form.
Free members can design and store up to 3 splash pages.
Get a free autoresponder
If you do have your own website and you are comfortable with adding HTML code, an even better idea is to build your own splash page which incorporates code linking to an autoresponder.
This way you get to keep the names and e mail addresses of any interested parties irrespective of whether or not they sign up to any programs under you. You can also pre program your autoresponder with a series of messages to be sent to new leads at intervals, meaning you don’t have the hassle of manually having to send follow up e mails.
If you are looking for a reliable autoresponder that is totally free then I recommend you take a look at List Wire. This relatively new program is the brainchild of Gary Ambrose and is already causing a stir in internet marketing circles because of all the features it offers which are normally only available through paid autoresponder services.
Because of the way List Wire is set up, all leads are double opt in and anyone who unsubscribes from your autoresponder is automatically deleted so you can be sure you are not sending out unwanted messages to anyone.
The golden rules of splash page buidling
- Keep it brief. A couple of punchy lines of text, an eye catching image and a direct link to the program you are promoting or your autoresponder is all that is required.
- Include an opening line that strikes a chord with your target audience. For example, if you are promoting a downline building program you could open your splash page with something like “Are you sick of earning peanuts from PTC sites?” All you are trying to do is grab their attention and make a statement they can relate to.
- Avoid large files and lengthy videos. When people are surfing Traffic Exchanges in particular, they haven’t got the time to wait for a file to download or to stop and watch a 20 minute promotional video.
- Don’t try to be too controversial. Even though shock tactics will make your audience sit up and take notice, there is a fine line between creating interest and causing offence.
